About Me

My name is Braydan, and I work in IT. In my day to day role I manage infrastructure and security operations, and in my free time I enjoy tinkering with tech, building out my homelab, and participating in Capture the Flag events.
I hold a Bachelors degree in Network Engineering and Security, and I currently hold Sec+, Net+, Cloud+, and SSCP certifications. The certifications I'm chasing now are the AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) and NSE4 (Fortigate Administrator - Fortigate firewalls). I aim to tackle these by the end of the year, which I then plan to enroll in the big one...OSCP.
While some of my short term goals are some additional certifications to further display my strengths, my long-term goals are security engineering, penetration testing, and generally being a well-rounded security practitioner across all domains of security.
Current Projects
Please keep an eye on my Projects page for projects that I'm working on! I'm currently building out a Proxmox cluster to replace my current methodology of VMWare/Hyper-V/VirtualBox for VM management. I also enjoy tinkering with Arduino and ESP32 boards, and am planning a project around having a water sensor connected to an ESP32 board, which then sends an email to myself and my wife if it detects water ( there's some PTSD there, that's another story). Maybe I'll try to have it send an SMS? Not sure what that entails yet, but I'm excited.
These are just some of the things I am working on currently, also thinking about grad school in 1-2 years. What I love most about tech is learning, so please feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn and I'd love to hear what you're working on!
